UF Libraries Technology Expo

 

Expo Pre-show: April 9, 10:30-11:30am

For staff in the Smathers Conference Room & 1A: rehearsal/draft presentation covering all expo topics. All materials due now. We will request feedback from this for the full expo.

 

UF Libraries Technology Expo: Tuesday, April 15 from 10am-3pm

For all in the Smathers Conference Room & 1A (or the hallway if the Read-A-Thon is rained out and in 1A).

    • Amy is checking; Matt can check out the LW fac laptops if Amy doesn't get them.

  • Handout for technology & where to find it: volunteer for this with map
  • Bring a cake for the edible book contest: volunteer
  • Free Coffee; Laurie will follow up after first call

 

Done/in-process:

  • Named Expo; Drafted announcement; Val created webpage for announcement; Barbara Hood is promoting!
  • Missy asked Music to come and present and they aren't available
  • Ask Gator Dining about free Starbucks: Missy had the number, 392-2491, Laurie called and left a message for Jill Rodriguez who handles this
  • Reserve the rooms: Laurie booked the rooms and hallway for April 9 &15.
  • Ask about opening North door: Laurie emailed Robert, need to ask directors, so we'll just ask if we need it.
  • Ask Library bookstore about giving away posters:  Laurie
  • Borrow comics on CD from Special Collections: Laurie emailed SC, and we can borrow a CD
  • Submit a request to PR/Marketing for food: Laurie submitted request; Val will bring food in if approved
  • DAS is coming, Marilyn emailed and invited and now confirmed.
  • Reserve laptops with wireless for both days.
    • Amy is checking with a sales rep to borrow them:  Reqeusted from Vendor 3/17, he's checking Lenovo Loan stock.
